The Bayern Munich star was reportedly in tears in the dressing room after the match, blaming himself for missing two clear-cut chances that could have changed the outcome.It is a painful reminder of how quickly football can turn. Olise had opportunities to make the difference on the biggest stage, but was unable to find the back of the net. Rather than looking for excuses, the French international reportedly took the disappointment personally.Didier Deschamps later revealed that he spoke with Olise and consoled the player after the game. The France coach understood just how much the defeat had affected him and made sure to offer support during an incredibly difficult moment.For a player as talented and ambitious as Olise, those missed chances will undoubtedly stay with him. But so will the experience of playing in a World Cup semifinal and the lessons that come with it.Football can be cruel, especially in the biggest matches. A player can be one moment away from becoming a hero, only to be left wondering what might have been.Olise will have to use this disappointment as motivation.
