The Bayern Munich star was reportedly in tears in the dressing room after the match, blaming himself for missing two clear-cut chances that could have changed the outcome. It is a painful reminder of how quickly football can turn. Olise had opportunities to make the difference on the biggest stage, but was unable to find the back of the net. The France coach understood just how much the defeat had affected him and made sure to offer support during an incredibly difficult moment. For a player as talented and ambitious as Olise, those missed chances will undoubtedly stay with him. A player can be one moment away from becoming a hero, only to be left wondering what might have been.Olise will have to use this disappointment as motivation. At just 24 years old, he will have more opportunities to shine on the international stage. For now, however, it is clear just how deeply the defeat affected him — and how much he cared about helping France reach the World Cup final.Join the conversation!Sign up for a user account and get:New, improved notifications system!Fewer adsCreate community postsComment on articles, community postsRec comments, community posts
