​Florida State has two commitments in the 2028 class, and they’re searching for more talent. Four-star edge Cassell Cruickshank, who has around 40 offers, is a player they’re very high on.The Seminoles made an offer to Cruickshank back in March. In April, they hosted him for an unofficial visit. It’s early in the process, but FSU has made a strong impression on Cruickshank. He listed them as one of the early contenders in his recruitment.“Alabama, Auburn, Texas, Notre Dame, South Carolina, UF, Oklahoma, Tennessee, FSU, Texas A&M,” Cruickshank said via Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.Cruickshank is the nation’s No. 14 overall player and the No. 3 edge per Rivals industry rankings. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder is also the No. 2 prospect in the state of North Carolina.At E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, Cruickshank had a solid sophomore year. He only racked up 17 tackles but he had five sacks and one fumble recovery.When Florida State is putting together their visitor list during the season, Cruickshank is a player that will certainly be accounted for.
