Georgia football lands commitment from four-star in-state OL

Georgia continued expanding its offensive line haul for the 2027 recruiting class on Friday with a noteworthy addition from Roswell. Four-star tackle Miller Westerfield pledged to the Bulldogs, confirming his commitment to Rivals.com. His decision marks the sixth offensive lineman to join this class, and linemen overall account for one-third of the 18-player group.
Westerfield stands at about 6-foot-7 and 295 pounds, according to his X (formerly Twitter) profile. In the 247Sports Composite, he is listed as the No. 390 overall prospect nationally and the No. 43 offensive tackle. He chose Georgia over offers from LSU and Tennessee, with DawgsHQ reporting the details of his decision.
Reflecting on his roots, Westerfield explained to the site that growing up in Roswell meant strong Georgia support around him. “Everybody’s a Georgia fan,” he said. “They went back-to-back, and it was the biggest news. There wasn’t a day you weren’t hearing about it for a long time. You go to a place like Athens, and you can really feel the connection.”
This development aligns with Georgia’s strategy of strengthening the trenches by bringing in top-tier linemen at a rapid pace. The 2027 class already features a robust cohort of offensive line prospects, underscoring the program’s emphasis on building a formidable forward line for the coming years. Westerfield’s arrival adds depth and versatility to a unit that coaches view as pivotal for sustained success.
In evaluating Westerfield’s fit, Georgia is betting on his length, frame, and potential to develop into a steady anchor on the edge. His size and athleticism project well for both run blocking and pass protection, components that are critical for any offense that aspires to compete at the highest level of college football. With Westerfield joining a growing list of linemen committed to the Bulldogs, the program continues to stockpile depth and talent on the offensive line as it prepares for the demands of the SEC and the evolving landscape of collegiate football.
As the recruiting cycle progresses, anticipation builds around how Westerfield will adapt to the Bulldogs’ development system and how his presence—along with the other offensive line pledges—will shape Georgia’s offensive identity for 2027 and beyond. The combination of his stature, rankings, and commitment choice signals that Georgia remains a favored destination for top offensive line prospects who aim to contribute at an elite level in future seasons.
