Regarding the playoff, Crawford has Texas quarterback Arch Manning leading the Longhorns to a win over Georgia in the SEC championship, earning a top-two seed and a bye. Georgia is projected to be the No. 5 seed in the playoff, which would likely place them against the top Group of Five conference champion. The schedule, in Crawford’s view, should position the Bulldogs to return to both the SEC championship and the playoff, though participating in the conference title game may not always be the best setup for a deep playoff run, as illustrated by 2025.
