Germany reach the U-19 EUROs final and will face Spain

Germany’s senior squad collapsed spectacularly and became a laughing stock at the 2026 World Cup, but the U-19s delivered a far better showing by making it to the U-19 Euros final after a dramatic comeback win over Ukraine, as reported by Sport1. The match featured two quick-fire goals from each side that left the teams level at halftime, and it remained tied until the 90th minute when Francis Onyeka struck to secure the victory for Germany. The young Germans are set to face Spain in the final, a strong rematch after Spain defeated them 4-0 in the group stage just last week. Their performances throughout the tournament earned Germany a spot at next year’s U-20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Germany last appeared at the U-20 World Cup in 2017, and their last world title at that level dates back to 1981. The U-19 EUROs final is scheduled to kick off at the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham at 7:00 PM local time.
