​The injury to San Francisco Giants center fielder Harrison Bader’s left foot was made worse over the weekend due to a scooter accident. The Giants announced the news in an injury update Tuesday. Bader, who hasn’t played since May 29, has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and had a meeting scheduled with a specialist in Indianapolis on Monday to evaluate the injury. A former Gold Glover who remains an above-average defender, Bader was projected to provide stability in the outfield and decent production at the plate for San Francisco.Instead, Bader has played just 30 games this season and was in the midst of the worst offensive campaign of his 10-season career before he was sidelined. With the Giants, he is slashing .170/.298/.358 with 5 home runs, 14 RBI and no stolen bases.
