Giants head coach John Harbaugh provided some updates following Thursday’s training camp practice session…Nabers increases participationWhile Big Blue’s star receiver Malik Nabers still isn’t ready to get back out there at full speed yet, he did take a step forward on Thursday. With the practice session being a walk-through, Nabers took part in 11-on-11 drills for the first time at camp. It is a meaningful step forward in Harbaugh’s eyes. “I know Malik is really in to it,” he said. “He is pouring himself into it with everything he’s got — learn the offense, know what he’s doing, because he’s going to be back playing soon.”The coach still wasn’t ready to give an exact timeline, though he’s excited to see his top wideout back out there preparing for his highly-anticipated return. Injuries in the CB roomBig Blue’s cornerback room is a bit banged early on in camp.Dru Phillips sat out Thursday’s practice session and is expected to miss some time as he deals with a mild knee strain.Jarrick Bernard-Converse is also dealing with an ongoing knee issue. While Phillips is expected to be okay, Harbaugh didn’t rule out the possibility of the team signing another corner to help build their depth back up. In the meantime, Giants fans should expect to see more of Ar’Darius Washington and Nic Jones there.
