Gillingham have signed goalkeeper Ollie Wright on a season-long loan from Southampton, with fellow shot-stopper Lennon MacLorg also joining. Wright, 23, has been part of Saints’ academy since 2012 but has yet to make a first-team appearance. He has had loan spells at National League clubs Yeovil Town and Solihull Moors, and most recently at Gillingham’s League Two rival Accrington Stanley during the 2025-26 season, where he kept 12 clean sheets in 47 appearances. “I’d like to say I am quite commanding, coming for crosses and taking the pressure off the back line,” Wright told the club website.
