Gonzaga Baseball Lands First Transfer Addition From Division II Powerhouse

​  Gonzaga Bulldogs baseball has acquired its first player through the NCAA transfer portal. Meet incoming junior third baseman Josiah Rodriguez from Division II powerhouse Point Loma in San Diego, California, and Northern California’s Junipero Serra, the high school baseball program that produced the home run king, Barry Bonds.Rodriguez had a .411 batting average, .555 slugging percentage, and .484 on-base percentage in 63 starts during his sophomore season. That included seven home runs, 13 doubles, 37 walks, and 52 runs batted in. The Sea Wolves made it all the way to the College World Series due to his contributions at the plate.Gonzaga has lost two key contributors from last season’s roster to the portal in redshirt junior third baseman Mikey Bell (Georgia Bulldogs commit) and freshman right-handed pitcher Landon Hood (LSU Tigers commit).
