For the first time in 40 races, Grant Enfinger claimed the checkered flag in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event, taking the victory at Lime Rock Park and earning his 13th career win with CR7 Motorsports. Enfinger surged to the front on the final restart and then held off Landen Lewis to secure victory at the Connecticut road course. Lewis notched a career-best second-place finish, while Kaden Honeycutt battled back to finish third after late-race drama.
“They’ve given us great road-course trucks all year long,” Enfinger said, noting he had never won on a road course before this race. “Our best opportunities to win have come at road courses, but we’ve had issues at all three of them. This time, we had our issues in practice—broke a shock—and the team did an amazing job getting us out there to qualify. Derek [Smith, crew chief] did a fantastic job for the race. I felt like we had something—I don’t think we could have beat the #11 [Honeycutt] and the #34 [Riggs] straight up, but we found a way to win.”
Regarding the decisive moment for the win, Enfinger added: “I saw what happened in the ARCA race, but I didn’t want to line up third and push my way to the win. It’s common these days, but I prayed about it and thought it through. I wanted to win straight up on the outside. I’m proud of that decision. A lot went into it. I didn’t want to go in there and purposely root him out of the way to win. We beat them on the launch.”
Parker Kligerman finished fourth, Christian Eckes fifth, Daniel Hemric sixth, Andrés Pérez seventh, Tanner Gray eighth, Stewart Friesen ninth, and Colin Braun tenth in a competitive field. Kaden Honeycutt, driving the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota, and Layne Riggs in the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford led early, with Riggs starting from pole and Honeycutt following closely but never able to mount a sustained challenge.
The race opened cleanly, though Wesley Slimp briefly went off-track in Turn 1. Riggs took the Stage 1 victory over Honeycutt, Lewis, Mosack, Annunziata, Majeski, Ruggiero, Hemric, Enfinger, and Perez. During the stage break, Ben Maier stalled on track in the No. 42 Niece Motorsports entry. As racing resumed, the front of the pack remained largely the same, with Riggs maintaining the lead ahead of Honeycutt.
A notable incident occurred when Frankie Muniz spun after contact with Graham Doyle, who was making his Truck debut. The race’s next mishap came when Majeski, coping with brake trouble, spun and struck the tire barrier in Turn 1, ending his run for the day. NASCAR also black-flagged the smoking No. 38 Front Row Motorsports truck, forcing crew chief C. Smith to bring the truck to the pit lane so repairs could be made behind the wall.
The most consequential moment of the restart unfolded as Landen Lewis attempted to go three-wide for the lead. After being blocked, Lewis tried to slot back into line but Connor Mosack had already established position. The contact sent Lewis into Annunziata’s door, triggering a spin that reshaped the race’s strategy and ultimately opened the door for Enfinger to seize the win on the outside. This finish marked a significant milestone for Enfinger and CR7 Motorsports, highlighted by the dramatic late restart and the team’s ability to rebound from early practice issues to cap the day with a celebrated victory.
