Not only did the Guardians take sole possession of first place in the American League Central with the victory, but star third baseman Jose Ramirez recorded his 1,000th career RBI. Ramirez missed time due to injury earlier in the year, and his performance has been underwhelming while on the field. The 34-year-old is beginning to find his rhythm at the plate, though. He now has four hits and three RBI over his past two games.The Guardians have a number of young and talented players on their roster. If Cleveland is going to make a deep postseason run, though, the ball club will need Ramirez to lead the way. Ramirez is hoping to finish the season strong.The Guards will look to hold onto their lead in the AL Central on Saturday as they play the Athletics once again.
