The top 10 quarterback ratings for the EA Sports video game College Football 27 have been released, and Gunner Stockton of the Georgia Bulldogs is notably not among them due to opting out of participation. The game is set to release on all platforms on July 9, 2026, with MVP+ members gaining access on July 2 and those who pre-order the MVP Bundle and Deluxe Edition receiving early access on July 6.
Stockton’s absence is surprising given his 2025 season performance, which included 2,894 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, only five interceptions on 386 attempts, a 150.6 passer rating, and 7.5 yards per attempt. His strong season earned him the seventh-most Heisman votes. Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza won the Heisman and the national championship. Julian Sayin, who finished fourth in Heisman voting last year, is ranked second in CFB 27 with a 94 rating. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss is the only other returning Heisman top-10 voter who also sits in the top 10 in CFB 27, with the third-highest rating at 93.
Notably, several players who did not receive Heisman votes still outrank Stockton in the game’s ratings. Dante Moore, who threw for 3,515 yards and 30 touchdowns last season, received the highest rating among quarterbacks at 95 but probably would have earned Heisman consideration. Some top-10 QBs in the game had lower passer ratings than Stockton: Noah Fifita (147.2) and Arch Manning (144.9) fared worse, and John Mateer and Sam Leavitt did not play a full season. The list includes four SEC quarterbacks: Trinidad Chambliss, Arch Manning, Sam Leavitt, and John Mateer. Among those with more than 300 passing attempts in the SEC, Chambliss has the fewest interceptions (three) compared to Stockton’s five.
CFB 27’s Top 10 Quarterback ratings are as follows:
– Dante Moore (Oregon): 95
– Julian Sayin (Ohio State): 94
– Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss): 93
– Jayden Maiava (USC): 92
– C.J. Carr (Notre Dame): 92
– Arch Manning (Texas): 91
– Darian Mensah (Miami): 91
– Sam Leavitt (LSU): 90
– Noah Fifita (Arizona): 90
– John Mateer (Oklahoma): 89
