269-68.That’s the Husker lead in total yards at halftime, and it’s probably a credit to North Dakota playing mostly mistake-free ball that the scoreboard doesn’t look worse. The Husker defense basically shut down the Hawks high-octane vs. lousy opponents offense, and after a 32-yard completion from Jerry Kamenski to Deng Deng, North Dakota managed only 1 more net yard before halftime. While the offense didn’t put up 35 halftime points again, they still covered a lot ground with scoring drives of 75, 90 and 71 yards. Jamal Rule and Colandrea each ran it in for scores and Kyle Cunanan just nailed a 32-yarder right before halftime to give the game its current score.
