Harry Kane lookalike predicts England will triumph over Norway

A doppelgänger of Harry Kane is backing England to reach the World Cup semi-finals and believes the Three Lions captain will bag a brace against Norway. Danny Bullen, 34, turns heads every time he wears an England shirt thanks to his uncanny likeness to the England captain. The Bradford, West Yorkshire dad of two says his resemblance to the Bayern Munich striker is so striking that he routinely gets dozens of selfies each day, particularly when watching England in the pub. He explained that his likeness becomes even more pronounced when he puts on an England shirt. “To be honest, all the compliments are to Kane for looking like me,” he joked. Being half Dutch, he finds it a bit strange that he ends up looking so much like him, but he enjoys it, especially when England are winning.
Danny says he’s regularly mobbed by supporters whenever England are in action and can barely reach the bar without being stopped for a chat. Yet he concedes that things can get tense when England – or Kane himself – are having a poor game. Ahead of Saturday’s quarter-final against Norway, he is convinced England will prevail, with their captain playing the decisive role. “I think we can squeeze past Norway if we play as a team as we’ve been doing,” he said. “It’ll be a close one, and Kane will score a couple, including a winning penalty — come on England.”
As head of sales at Hope Park Workspaces, Danny first realized he bore a striking resemblance to Kane in his 20s after friends began pointing it out. The moment truly hit home during a 2018 stag do when, at 26, he was dared to wear a Tottenham Hotspur tracksuit and hold a sign that read: “I’m a Harry Kane lookalike — will take photos for money.” He recalled: “I stood on the side of the road with my mates in the bar opposite laughing out the window.” An Arsenal fan, it stung to wear the outfit, but he still managed to make about £8 in five minutes, which convinced him that he genuinely looked like Kane.
His status as a lookalike reached new heights during Euro 2024 when he won a Box Bar competition and was crowned the tournament’s “ultimate” football lookalike. The prize included a table for the final and a $500 bar tab. But after England’s 2–1 defeat to Spain, Danny admitted he made a quick exit to avoid confrontation. In moments of high emotion, supporters have occasionally mistaken him for the real thing. He recalled: “During the Euro 2020 semi-final versus Denmark, Kane wasn’t playing, but the lookalike thing was still strong.” He noted that he chose a swift exit to avoid any jeers after England’s loss.
