Not only did the Milwaukee Brewers draft a pair of Wisconsin natives in their batch of newcomers during the 2026 MLB Draft, one of them has a role in the Aaron Rodgers Fan universe. It turns out University of Minnesota pitcher Marcus Kruzan, a right-handed pitcher who attended high school in Ashland, has played a supporting role alongside good friend Jackson Bonneville running the “Rodgers Realm” social-media accounts, in which Bonneville mimics the mannerisms and style of … well, Aaron Rodgers, often to comedic effect.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBonneville has played for the Tri-City Chili Peppers, a summer baseball team that plays glow-in-the-dark baseball with an emphasis on fan engagement under the “Cosmic Baseball” heading that wouldn’t be out of place competing alongside “Banana Ball” teams.Bonneville, also from Ashland, had already achieved notoriety on Instagram and TikTok with his Rodgers Realm account, which has 320,000 followers on TikTok and 357,000 followers on Instagram. Bonneville often dresses in full Rodgers uniform while playing baseball and has met the former Packers quarterback multiple times, all documented for the Rodgers Realm account. He’s also thrown out a ceremonial first pitch at a Milwaukee Brewers game. 1 / 11Trey Ebel takes batting practice during the 2026 Draft Combine at Chase Field on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.(Jill Weisleder, MLB Photos via Getty Images)Which brings us to a pitcher who could someday actually throw out the first pitch of a Brewers game.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBonneville posted a video to his Instagram story identifying Kruzan as “The Associate,” a co-conspirator who’s been party to a number of Bonneville’s biggest Rodgers-related videos.”He helped me make this account,” Bonneville told the camera. “He’s in 90% of my most viral videos, and I genuinely believe he’s the only human on earth who loves Rodg’ as much as me. …The guy’s basically my brother. He lives in my house. We’ve worked out together our entire lives.”Bonneville also said he and Kruzan are also longtime fans of the Milwaukee Brewers. And he pointed to the serendipity of Kruzan getting taken in the 12th round, matching Rodgers’ number in Green Bay, of course.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKruzan first played college baseball at St. Thomas in Minneapolis, where he became a first-team all-conference pitcher in the Summit League. As a junior at Minnesota, he went 4-5 with a 4.10 ERA and recorded 54 strikeouts in just more than 54 innings. This article originally appeared on Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: He’s part of a viral Aaron Rodgers fan account.
