​During the final game of its homestand against the Athletics, the Cincinnati Reds claimed a pair of right-handed pitchers off waivers Thursday, Aug. 6. The Reds claimed Ron Marinaccio from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chase Solesky from the Tampa Bay Rays while transferring Blake Dunn (elbow) to the 60-day injured list.Solesky was then optioned to Triple-A Louisville. The Reds will make a corresponding roster move for Marinaccio after he reports, the club announced. In four appearances with the Pirates, he allowed four runs over 5 ⅓ innings. He appeared in 33 games for San Diego this season, posting a 4.79 ERA. Solesky made his MLB debut on May 18, permitting two runs on six hits over three innings in the Rays’ 16-6 win over Baltimore.
