While several clubs were monitoring the situation, including Inter Milan, Como have ultimately succeeded in convincing both the player and Real Madrid.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed the agreement, signalling the move with his famous transfer catchphrase.
Sharing the latest update, Romano announced, “Como agree deal with Real Madrid to BUY Nico Paz on permanent move.”

The Italian journalist also revealed that Real Madrid have protected their long-term interests by retaining control over the midfielder through a buyback clause.

Although Romano did not disclose the financial details, previous reports suggested Como were prepared to pay around €60 million to complete the permanent transfer after Real Madrid exercised their initial €9 million buyback option.
That structure allows the Spanish giants to secure a significant financial return while keeping open the possibility of bringing one of their brightest academy graduates back to the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.
The agreement follows a busy few days surrounding Nico Paz’s future.
Real Madrid had activated the midfielder’s buyback clause before opening fresh discussions with Como regarding a permanent transfer.

At the same time, Inter Milan also emerged as a possible destination, with reports even suggesting Paz could become part of negotiations involving Alessandro Bastoni.

However, Como remained determined to keep the Argentine after his impressive performances in Serie A, and their persistence has now paid off.
Furthermore, the player’s own preference also played a decisive role in the outcome.
Rather than returning immediately to Real Madrid, Nico Paz wanted another season in an environment where he would continue playing regularly.

The midfielder felt that competition for places at the Santiago Bernabeu would make consistent first-team opportunities difficult during the upcoming campaign.
That made Como the ideal solution for both his immediate development and his long-term ambitions.
