Hilton Grand Vacations is investigating an employee who sent a racial slur to Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray following the team’s 109-75 loss to the Indiana Fever on Sunday.“We are aware of the allegations involving this individual and are currently investigating the matter,” Hilton Grand Vacations said in a statement. “The behavior described would be in violation of multiple company policies and does not reflect our company’s values in any way. And the audacity to tell us as athletes to ‘shut up and dribble.’”Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams received a hateful audio message on Instagram one day after Minnesota’s 90-85 win over the New York Liberty on Saturday. Williams posted a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double with one assist. On Sunday, a fan blamed Williams for not earning two assists in the game, causing the fan to lose a player prop bet after he said he put his “hard-earned money” on her to get two assists in the win.The Aces, Lynx and WNBA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.The situation comes just weeks after Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas said she and her teammates received online harassment following an incident between Thomas and Fever star Caitlin Clark in which Thomas grabbed Clark’s throat during a game.
