The Houston Rockets have seen 52 different jersey numbers worn by players since the team began in the 1967-68 season, with one number associated with a squad member who isn’t part of any numerical series for Rockets assistant coach and general manager Carroll Dawson. In today’s piece, we continue with the 15th of 18 players to wear No. 20, big man alumnus Donatas Motiejunas. After beginning his professional career abroad, Motiejunas was selected 20th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Kaunas, Lithuania native spent his first four pro seasons with the Rockets after a draft-night deal, remaining with Houston until he was released in 2016. While with the Rockets, Motiejunas wore only No. 20, averaging 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. All stats are from Basketball Reference.
