Beckham spent parts of seven seasons in the majors, suiting up for four clubs and never reaching the full potential that was anticipated when he went first overall. Beckham first found himself on the move at the 2017 trade deadline, when the Rays sent the shortstop to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for a minor league right-hander named Tobias Myers. Then, in November 2021, the Rays dealt Myers to the Cleveland Guardians for Caminero.
