Huge Return Expected For Flyers As Early As Today. The Philadelphia Flyers had a terrible start to the season but things have turned around after the team began to string some wins together. On Saturday, the good news continued for the Flyers with early reports suggesting they may be in store for a big return sooner rather than later. After being out of action since October 3rd when the Flyers took on the Carolina Hurricanes, veteran defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen appears poised to make his return. It sounds like Ristolainen is a game time decision for Saturday’s afternoon game and it couldn’t come at a better time with the Flyers set to face off against one of their newest rivals, the Anaheim Ducks.Ristolainen appeared in just 3 games for the Flyers this season prior to going down due to injury, an injury to his left hand that has cost him at least the last 9 games. When Ristolainen does make his return it will no doubt be a welcomed sight for head coach Rick Tocchet who has leaned heavily on Ristolainen at times. This season is no exception with Ristolainen having played over 22 minutes in the Flyers second game of the season against the New Jersey Devils.Should Ristolainen be unable to play on Saturday, he will get his next chance to make his return this coming Tuesday when the Flyers face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets.https://x.com/JHallNBCS/status/2114004462042050965
