But their Week 4 performance was likely an indication to pump the brakes.New Orleans was dominated by Atlanta, 45-24, allowing 205 rushing yards and touchdowns in all four quarters to the Falcons. Former players like Drew Brees and Steve Gleason were in attendance.The game itself, though, gave Saints fans little to cheer for. They fell behind 24-7 by halftime, and fans were booing by the fourth quarter.”Fans understandably are upset,” Shough said, per ESPN. “We had some opportunities that we didn’t take advantage of and you’re playing the Falcons and you lose like that. I mean, I’d boo, too. More than anything, you lose to the Falcons like that and especially on a Monday night game, it sucks,” Shough said, per ESPN. “There’s nothing you can say, like, ‘Ah man, it doesn’t suck.’ It definitely does. But I do know as a team that we’re extremely close and we’re going to keep going and keep our eyes forward. We have really good leadership and our leadership on the team admits that we got to get better. We have to get better and watch the film and evaluate that. There’s no hiding that. But at the same time, it is a long season and there’s a lot of games yet to be played to where we can do that.”The Saints’ next assignment won’t get much easier, though for different reasons.
