During his four seasons with the Browns, Mayfield set rookie records, registered a sophomore slump, took the Browns to the playoffs, won a road playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then struggled massively playing through a number of injuries.It was an inconsistent tenure, one that didn’t convince the Browns to commit to Mayfield in the long term. Without considering the fact that Mayfield was clearly their most successful quarterback in recent memory, the Browns traded for Deshaun Watson. However, Watson’s tenure so far has been a less-than-impressive decision for the franchise.
