​After Indiana’s two-game winning streak ended with a 106-92 defeat to the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, the Fever continue their four-game Western Conference road swing tonight with a visit to the Phoenix Mercury at the Mortgage Matchup Center. Wednesday night featured the return of Caitlin Clark, who had been sidelined for two games with a back injury. The former Hawkeye played with a minutes restriction, contributing 9 points on 4-of-12 shooting to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal over 16 minutes.
Even though she returned to the lineup on Thursday, Indiana’s gameday injury report lists Clark as out for tonight’s game to grant the star guard rest in the latter portion of the back-to-back. As tipoff approaches for the final regular-season meeting between the Fever and Mercury, fans can stay tuned for live scoring updates and highlights from the action. Both Aliyah Boston (probable; right lower leg) and Sophie Cunningham (questionable; back spasms) were seen participating in warmups ahead of tonight’s game against Phoenix. Guard Bree Hall also appeared in warmups with the team, and if activated for tonight, it would mark her fifth appearance of 12 permitted games under her development contract.
In a reversal from Thursday night, Caitlin Clark has officially been ruled out of tonight’s game as Indiana rests her for the latter half of the back-to-back. Center Aliyah Boston remains listed as probable after resting Thursday due to a lower-right-leg issue, while Sophie Cunningham is listed as questionable because of back spasms.
