The Boston Celtics are reportedly taking calls on Jaylen Brown, and the market seems to be substantial.

The Celtics reportedly made Brown available in exchange for Giannis Antetokounmpo, and their willingness to do so apparently signaled to the rest of the league that they are open to parting ways with him. According to The Athletic’s Jay King, the trade chatter around Brown is very real, and some unexpected teams are getting involved.
“The trade chatter is very real around Jaylen Brown,” King said on “Still Poddable” on Thursday. “I heard a couple more teams today that could be involved, that were kind of like mystery teams. Not mystery teams, but teams that I didn’t necessarily anticipate. I don’t know if I should share those, so I probably won’t. It seems like there’s a lot of potential interest out there.”
The Celtics have reportedly only ever made Brown available in trade talks when trying to acquire legitimate superstars who are bound for the Hall of Fame. They offered him up for Antetokounmpo and for Kevin Durant in 2022. However, the market for him seems to be vast.
This puts the Celtics in a position to start a bidding war if they want to cut ties with Brown. It’s no surprise that plenty of teams want him. He is coming off his best season.
