The Los Angeles Rams took on the Buffalo Bills in a very intriguing prime time matchup, which ended in an overtime trip and resulted in the Bills picking up the 37-34 win. With that said, the Rams were able to make some good plays, but they still have some issues to clean up.Special Teams Continue to Be Major IssueThis season, the Rams have had several issues when it comes to special teams, and those issues appeared again on Monday against the Bills. The Rams allowed a 70-yard kickoff return to Ray Davis on the very first play of the game, which set up the Bills with great field position and ultimately led to three points. The issues continued with Los Angeles driving the ball downfield in their next drive. However, Harrison Mevis missed a 50-yard kick. The epitome of special teams mistakes came in overtime as the Bills got through the protection to block the game-winner from Mevis. Buffalo would follow that with their own game-winner. In games that are tight like this one, special teams make the difference, and the fact that the Rams had three critical mistakes is not a great sign that the unit led by new special teams coordinator Bubba Vetrone has gotten any better than it was in 2025.Puka Nacua Constantly Gets OpenLooking at the offensive side, Puka Nacua was able to have a major impact on this game as he was constantly able to get open and be a reliable option for quarterback Matthew Stafford.Nacua totaled 17 receptions for 138 yards on 24 targets while also adding two carries for nine yards. He also had three receptions for 53 yards with a long of 34 yards, which brought some great energy to the Rams’ offense on a drive that ended in a touchdown. While the backfield at times is led by Williams, Corum continues to show his explosive capabilities. The Rams may not have won the game, but they still have one of the strongest rushing duos in the league. Poor Situational Discipline For the RamsThe Rams had a solid overall performance, but the penalties and the end-of-game management were the key reasons they lost. The Rams had 11 penalties accepted for a total of 84 yards, which is a significant amount of yardage. On several occasions, these penalties were pre-snap penalties, which at times disrupted the rhythm of the offense.Shifting the focus to the game management side, on the Rams’ final offensive possession, Sean McVay and the off
