Jan Jensen and the Iowa women’s basketball program have picked up the pace on the recruiting trail in recent weeks. They recently issued another marquee offer to a very talented high school guard.Class of 2028 guard Amel Cook took to Instagram to announce that she’s received an official offer from the Hawkeyes. Cook is a five-star prospect and ranks as the No. 6 overall player and as both the No. 3 shooting guard and prospect from California in the 2028 class, according to Rivals.Cook is from Los Angeles, Calif., and plays for Windward School. The 6-foot-1 guard is one of the most highly sought-after players in the 2028 class.
