​NEW YORK – Anthony Volpe is back, and Aaron Judge is being rested from Thursday night’s Yankees lineup. The right-handed hitting Volpe returns as the Yanks’ second baseman, batting ninth, while Judge takes a seat, replaced in right field by Jasson Dominguez, batting third. Judge had started the previous two games in right field, after spending just over three months on the injured list due to a right rib fracture.Going for a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies, the Yanks send lefty Max Fried (4-4, 2.73) to the mound, opposed by right-hander Ryan Feltner (5-9, 5.91). Earlier Thursday afternoon, the Yanks officially placed lefty-hitting second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. on the 10-day injured list due to a sprained right thumb. Summoned back to Yankee Stadium for the first time since George Lombard Jr.’s call-up on Aug. 4, Volpe has been a hot hitter lately at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
