​Photo by Jeff J Mitchell/Getty ImagesUnited States President Donald Trump won another club championship at his golf course in Bedminster last weekend.He reportedly carded a round of 70 to win the senior and super-senior divisions at Trump National Golf Club.Trump hit an excellent wedge shot, which was posted online, but many remain sceptical about his championship victory.One golfer, who claims to have watched Trump play “many times” at a different course, does not believe the president.Photo by Jeff J Mitchell/Getty ImagesWhy one club member questioned Donald Trump’s latest victoryScott McConnell, founder of The American Conservative, has explained why Trump’s victory should not be taken at face value.McConnell admitted that the president is a good golfer, especially for an 80-year-old, but he is not capable of winning a club championship.“Trump is legit a pretty good amateur golfer,” he wrote on X. “I’m a member of one of his clubs, so I’ve seen him play many times.“He probably was a 4 or 5 [handicap] in his prime. He’s 80 and drives it about 180 yards now. No one like that can win a senior club championship in any universe.”However, McConnell recognised that Trump could have won the super-senior championship if it were restricted to over-80s.“80 is old,” he continued. “A good super senior can hit it at 70, 220 or more.
