Jac Caglianone participating in 2026 Home Run Derby

By admin — In News — July 8, 2026

Jac Caglianone is set to take part in the Home Run Derby. Despite having just 21 home runs across 147 major-league games, Caglianone has already built a reputation as one of the game’s most formidable power threats. During his time at Florida, he twice etched his name into the school record book for single-season home runs, blasting 33 in 2023 and 35 in 2024. He also holds the program’s career marks for home runs (75) and slugging percentage (.760). Notably, Caglianone matched an NCAA record by launching home runs in nine consecutive games from April 6 to 19, 2024.
This season, he shares the distinction of the longest average home run distance among players with 10 or more home runs, tied with Colorado’s Mickey Moniak at 418 feet. As he continues to mature in his first full big-league campaign, Caglianone is posting a slash line of .258/.322/.455 over 299 plate appearances, tallying 77 hits, 33 RBIs, and 85 games played.
In an interesting family twist, Caglianone’s father, Jeff, will be throwing to him during the Derby. The Home Run Derby is scheduled to air on Netflix on Monday, July 13, at 8:00 p.m. ET, from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. More competitors are expected to be announced in the coming days.
