​The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a polarizing offseason, as the vibes surrounding the team are high, but many media outlets have not been fond of their moves and drafting in 2026.Nevertheless, Jacksonville still has a healthy mix of youth and veteran presences that can contend for another AFC South crown.On Wednesday, ESPN’s Aaron Schatz released an updated ranking of every roster’s “under-25 talent,” with the Jaguars coming in right in the middle of the pack at No. 15.”We’ll start not on offense or defense but with both, as two-way star [Travis] Hunter is 23,” Schatz wrote. “His 2025 season ended early due to injury, but he finished with 28 catches for 298 yards to go with 15 tackles and three passes defensed. [Brian] Thomas is also 23, even after two seasons in the NFL. Wide receiver Parker Washington, who took a larger role in the passing game when Hunter got hurt last season, is 24, as is second-round tight end Nate Boerkircher. Running backs Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr. are both 24. On the offensive line, the Jaguars have 24-year-olds in right tackle Anton Harrison and third-round rookie guard Emmanuel Pregnon.”Of course, Hunter is the player with the biggest weight on his shoulders, as the former Heisman winner did not have the impact he would have liked in his rookie season.Injuries derailed Hunter’s growth just when he seemingly had begun to hit his groove, but the coaching staff, teammates, and Hunter himself have remained confident that he is in for a big sophomore season.Thomas and Washington have also been heavily praised throughout this offseason, as head coach Liam Coen has noted the growing chemistry between the two pass catchers and Trevor Lawrence.For Thomas, who had a stellar rookie season two years ago, this is a big opportunity to put his name back in top 10-15 receiver in the league conversations.Washington, on the other hand, is still without a contract extension, meaning he could be playing for extra compensation on his pending deal.Tuten and Allen will both have bigger roles after the departure of longtime tailback Travis Etienne, following the blocks made by Boerkircher, Pregnon, and Harrison.Pregnon was my favorite pick of the draft by Jacksonville, as the front office landed the First-Team All American in the third round.Defensively, the young talent is a bit more scarce.”There’s much less young talent on the defensive side of the ball,” Schatz added. “Safety Anthony Johnson and defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro, the latter acquired in a trade with the Falcons, are both 24.
