The Cincinnati Bengals are winless in their last two games. After starting out with two big wins, the franchise has lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars consecutively. Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones grabbed his facemask, drawing a penalty, and linebacker Ventrell Miller delivered a hit that drove Chase’s head into the turf. He was evaluated for a concussion, ruled out at halftime, and finished with three receptions for 27 yards. Higgins stepped up in Chase’s absence, recording 11 catches for 157 yards on 16 targets. Late in the fourth quarter, he suffered an adductor injury on a sideline reception. He attempted to return for one play on the final drive but could not continue. In a recent report for SportsCenter, Ian Rapoport detailed the injury updates for both players. He said, For the Cincinnati Bengals, both of their star receivers are banged up as well. Ja’Marr Chase is in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Simply do not know if he is going to be able to be out there this week. Every concussion is different, so we will see how he progresses. He said, “We just have to make it work, and for the most part, we did. I never felt like, ‘Man, we can’t do this because of who we have.’ I don’t feel that. That’s why they’re on our roster. If you make our roster on offense, you’ve got something to you.”He added, “I got absolute faith that they can make some plays and win games. That’s every single man we’ve got on this team. That’s why they’re here. This is the best team we’ve had in a while. And so I’ve got faith. Anybody we walk out on that field, we trust to be able to make a play.”Other than Chase and Higgins, Andrei Iosivas is on injured reserve with a thumb injury, and rookie Colbie Young is dealing with a knee issue.
