It also sets Robertson up to be an unrestricted free agent upon conclusion of the 2026-27 season. His long-term future with the Stars, then, still remains uncertain, but he could sign an extension on Jan. 1, per Elliotte Friedman. Robertson reportedly turned down a deal for $15 million per year with the Seattle Kraken before free agency began. If Robertson remains in the fold, Dallas figures to be dangerous again. A second-round pick in the 2017 draft, Robertson scored 45 goals and led the Stars with 96 points in 2025-26.
