There might be more dominoes left to fall in the aftermath of the Skubal deal, and ESPN’s Jeff Passan mentioned some incredible talents who could be changing uniforms before the trade deadline on Monday.Passan, in an appearance on SportsCenter, name dropped the likes of Luis Arraez, Luke Weaver, Reid Detmers, Adrian Morejon, and Adley Rutschman as some of the biggest names on the trade market who could realistically be dealt from now until this year’s trade deadline.Arraez, Weaver, Morejon, Detmers, Rutschman 👀@JeffPassan takes a look at some of the biggest names who could be dealt before Monday’s trade deadline ⚾ pic.twitter.com/aQtWkw7sq1Watch sports LIVE with fuboTV (free trial)— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) August 3, 2026Arraez is drawing plenty of attention from contending teams, and the San Francisco Giants are likely to trade him away considering how far off they are from the postseason race. Moreover, Arraez is in the final year of his contract. On the season, Arraez is sporting an OPS of .810, and he’s now become one of the best defensive second basemen in the majors.Weaver and Morejon are two of the best available relievers on the market; Weaver has one year left on his deal worth $11 million, while Morejon is in the final year of his deal. While the former is likely going to change teams due to the New York Mets’ struggles, the latter may end up staying with the San Diego Padres with the hopes of fueling a postseason push. The Los Angeles Angels should be in no rush to trade Detmers away. He is under team control until 2028, and he’s only 27 in the middle of a breakout season. But the Angels are one of the worst teams in MLB, and they could get back a significant prospect haul if they were to trade Detmers away. The Baltimore Orioles have been disappointing yet again, and Rutschman hasn’t gotten back to the heights of his first two years in the big leagues. It’ll be a huge shock, however, if the Orioles trade away one of their homegrown talents since he has one year left of team control.Related: Mets give up 2.56 ERA pitcher for 2 prospects in trade with White SoxRelated: Mets, Rays trade grades for Freddy Peralta deadline deal
