With training camp set to begin soon, much of the conversation around the team has centered on how Jerry Jones’ franchise plans to meet the high expectations surrounding the roster.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMeanwhile, longtime Cowboys analyst Bryan Broaddus believes Dallas should at least explore the possibility of signing former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold, despite the off-field issues that led to his release.“I’m sure some people out there probably say, well, you see it wasn’t any good,” Broaddus said. “Anyway, I would argue the point of being a young guy and the Cowboys have had a history of doing this though. They’ve had a history of taking guys who they thought were high on their draft board.“Yeah, look at the trades. They made it for Trey Lance. They made it for Jonathan Mingo. Both these guys were like high second-round picks grade of a 1 to 0 on their boards. And all of a sudden, I guarantee you that Arnold was a guy that had a first round grade for them.”Arnold was the 24th overall pick by Detroit in 2024, and He appeared in eight games for the Lions in 2025, recording one interception, eight pass deflections, and 31 combined tackles.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHowever, Detroit made the decision to part ways with Arnold after he was arrested in Florida and charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. The legal situation ultimately triggered the Lions to release him despite his potential on the field.Arnold went unclaimed after being waived, making him an unrestricted free agent who can now sign with any team. That leaves the door open for the Cowboys to pursue him if they believe the potential reward outweighs the risk. According to Arnold’s representatives, the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and New York Jets have also expressed potential interest in bringing him aboard.Colts ready to dump once-promising franchise QB as Cowboys emerge in surprise trade buzzJosh Allen earns honor Patrick Mahomes held for yearsJerry Jones’ FIFA World Cup plan puts him on wrong side of NFL debateJerry Jones’ $96 million investment at guard is already paying off according to executives around the leagueGeorge Pickens’ next contract just became much easier to predict
