The TV people are gaga for it, but I couldn’t help but think Masoud played with his food, and not in a good way.We’re seven rounds in. Masoud winning what is really a mismatch. This is what I mean about if you come over and win one fight you weren’t meant to win in the UK, you will get brought back repeatedly until they’ve beaten you enough times that nobody remembers or cares about your win anymore. Kieron Conway by Unanimous DecisionOFFICIAL SCORES: 97-93, 97-93, 96-94, all for Mark JeffersAgain, good scoring. I had it 97-93 for Jeffers, two of the judges saw it the same, one had it just closer, but everyone got it right. Conway may be just that bit past it even at this level, just didn’t look on his game throughout, though again, he had his moments, and Jeffers had to earn it in the end, no coasting.Wasn’t the level of “entertaining” we might have hoped, but should be a good win for Jeffers. Conway celebrating but I don’t think he has much of an argument. But I’ve seen worse robberies than this would be, I suppose. Conway did have some good moments, but I just think Jeffers pretty clearly won more rounds, and boxing is scored by rounds.Jeffers with the much better start through three rounds. Conway a little better in the third and might have won the fourth, though. This could be developing into the competitive fight we expected.Ring walks going! Fight to start shortly. I thought the most you could have shaded to Howarth was three rounds, so the judges giving him two or one round seems right. O’Regan just came here and won, nothing more to it.
