Kate Middleton, Prince William bring George and Charlotte to Wimbledon final

Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final on Sunday accompanied by their eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The royal trio joined the couple in the Royal Box at Centre Court, where Italy’s Jannik Sinner claimed his second consecutive Wimbledon title by defeating Germany’s Alexander Zverev. The appearance of the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with George and Charlotte, drew a standing ovation as they entered the Royal Box, a moment acknowledged by People. Prince Louis, the couple’s younger child, was not present for this event.
Kate, who has served as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, later presented the Gentlemen’s Singles Trophy to Sinner after his victory, marking another milestone in her longstanding involvement with the tournament. This outing followed Kate’s appearance at the women’s singles final the previous day, where she presented the Venus Rosewater Dish to the champion, Linda Noskova. Kate has been a familiar presence at Wimbledon in recent years, often joining her husband and children for key matches and finals.
Photographers captured Catherine, Princess of Wales, arriving with her son George and daughter Charlotte, highlighting the family’s continued engagement with Wimbledon. The royal children have increasingly become regular figures at the Championships, with George making his Wimbledon debut at the men’s singles final in 2022, just before his ninth birthday. Charlotte first attended Wimbledon in 2023, accompanying her parents and older brother to Centre Court as Carlos Alcaraz secured the men’s title. Last year, Charlotte returned to Wimbledon with her mother for the men’s singles final; Kate received a standing ovation during one of her early major public appearances after revealing she was undergoing cancer treatment, a moment that underscored the couple’s public resilience and ongoing connection to the tournament.
The royal family’s visits to Wimbledon have become a recurring and well-documented feature of the Championships, reinforcing the Windsors’ longstanding association with the All England Club. In addition to her duties as patron, Kate’s presence at Wimbledon helps spotlight the event’s tradition, charitable activities, and the broad appeal of tennis across generations. The 2026 edition of Wimbledon continued to showcase the sport’s top talents, with Sinner’s victory adding another chapter to a tournament that remains a global summer highlight for fans of tennis and royal watchers alike.
