This weekend is a major one for Kentucky Football as they welcome Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers to Kroger Field. In what is another chance to knock off a top-10 team for Will Stein in his first six games as a head coach, it will come against a team that is eager and full of talent in the first season of Kiffin in Baton Rouge.Kiffin can be a polarizing figure in college football, but over the last several seasons, he has cemented himself as one of the top coaches in the sport. That is why, when he spoke about Coach Stein and the parallels he sees, you have to be happy as part of the BBN.“I think he’s brought that kind of youthful, confident energy in there, and you can see by the way that they play and by the way they kind of walk, that they have a lot of confidence,” Kiffin said. “They were down big in that game at South Carolina, and a lot of first-year teams would have folded in that, and they came all the way back and won.”Kiffin even admitted he sees some of himself in Stein, citing what he said at SEC Media Days about being the reason Kentucky will win big.“I saw the young confidence, some might say cocky, so probably I did see in that moment some of myself when I was young,” said Kiffin. “He’s doing a great job, and he did a great job on offense at Oregon. Really unique plays and a mixture of personnel and tempo and stuff. So he’s doing a great job.”Whatever happens this weekend, it’s obvious Kentucky Football is in good hands, and the rest of the college football world is taking notice.
