LSU baseball MLB Draft tracker: Where Tiger players, signees are selected

By admin — In News — July 11, 2026

The 2026 MLB Draft has arrived, and a number of current and potential future LSU baseball players are hopeful for a call from an executive in the coming days. Sophomore outfielder Derek Curiel has stood out as LSU coach Jay Johnson’s top prospect throughout this entire draft cycle, a status that has remained unchanged over the past year. Curiel is widely projected to be selected in the first round, with estimates placing him anywhere from No. 10 to the mid-20s.
As part of MLB’s All-Star Weekend activities, the two-day, 20-round MLB Draft begins on July 11. The first 10 picks will be broadcast on NBC and streamed via Peacock, with the remainder of the draft airing on MLB Network and MLB.com through July 12 until the process concludes.
Mock drafts for LSU players are circulating, including the latest projections for Derek Curiel and other LSU baseball talents. This year’s draft tracker lists every LSU player and high school signee who is expected to be drafted in 2026. The information will be updated throughout the event as selections are announced.
