Who knew Kiffin’s assistant coaches could be amped up as well. Smith was one of the few to follow Kiffin to Baton Rouge. His time at Oxford featured a few good rushers, including Kewan Lacy, who chose to stay at Ole Miss. The Rebels’ “12th Man” wanted Kiffin and his staff to know they weren’t welcome, jumping out to a 24-7 halftime lead. Trinidad Chambliss looked near perfect in the first half. He went 21-of-27 for 248 yards and two touchdowns. Lacy added another score on the ground for Ole Miss.LSU had 114 yards of total offense in the worst half this season. The Tigers will receive the second half kickoff. Needless to say, Kiffin’s return to Ole Miss isn’t looking so hot for LSU to start.
