Mateus Mane: Man United told what they’ll have to pay for winger

By admin — In yahoo — June 30, 2026

Mateus Mane is at the center of renewed transfer intrigue as Manchester United may face a price tag that could tempt a late move. The Wolves attacking midfielder, who can also operate on the wing, impressed last season with his direct dribbling and goals, emerging as one of the Premier League’s more exciting talents in 2025-26. His energy helped lift Wolves during a challenging campaign, and his form drew attention from INEOS and United scouts who had been monitoring him as a potential left-wing addition.
With Wolves relegated, Mane was always likely to attract interest from top clubs, though he initially seemed reluctant to move, cooling early links to a switch. However, a report from Germany’s Fussballdaten adds a twist, suggesting Mane could change clubs after all. The Wolves board is reportedly prepared to reject offers below £30 million, with that floor potentially rising to around £35 million if bidding heats up. Wolves are prepared to act as tough sellers.
In the Premier League, scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United have all tracked Mane, building extensive dossiers on his performance, development trajectory, and physical condition. Despite this, Bundesliga clubs, notably Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, are currently at the forefront of the chase for Mane’s signature.
If Mane’s price is set at around £30 million, United might view it as a worthwhile gamble to secure a left-wing option with a high ceiling. They would need to persuade the teenage talent to leave Wolves and take the next step among Europe’s elite, where his potential could help sustain United’s attack while enabling a broader midfield overhaul and marquee signings.
