A pair of former UCLA Bruins are pacing the Athletes Unlimited Softball League in home runs, with Megan Grant and Maya Brady sitting atop the leaderboard to begin the 2026 season.Leading the league in home runs is nothing new for Grant, who set a new single-season NCAA mark for home runs in her senior year with UCLA with 42 bombs in 2026 to help lead the Bruins to a Women’s College World Series appearance.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBrady hit 71 home runs in her five-year career with UCLA spanning from 2019-2024. While Brady didn’t reach the power heights that Grant did in Westwood, she was remarkably consistent, hitting at least 14 bombs in four-straight years to close out her career with the Bruins. This year in the AUSL, Brady and Grant are dead even with eight home runs apiece. While they’re even in the homer department, Brady, the AUSL vet, is having a stronger all-around season. Brady is 17 games into her season and is batting .415 with 17 RBI and nine walks. It’s still been a terrific rookie season for Grant, who’s fresh off of her senior year of college, where she competed in two sports. Grant is batting .250 with 15 RBI and 13 walks. Brady’s Oklahoma City Spark is below .500 at 10-11 while Grant and the Portland Cascade at 12-9.Grant was drafted alongside teammates Taylor Tinsley and Jordan Woolery. Tinsley has put up a 4.00 earned run average over seven innings while Woolery has batted .302 with one home run, nine RBI and has drawn seven walks.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe AUSL is still a new league, being invented in 2025, but it has already been well-represented by UCLA Bruins in its short history. This article originally appeared on UCLA Wire: Megan Grant and Maya Brady pace the AUSL in home runs with eight
