By admin — In News — July 9, 2026

Welcome to the Bavarian Football Works daily Men’s World Cup match thread! Each day of the tournament, we’ll feature a dedicated thread for discussing the day’s fixtures. And then there were eight. The World Cup field is starting to resemble The Usual Suspects, with Morocco as the last surviving African national team. They have a real shot to surprise France. Paraguay gave Les Bleus a tougher test, and this game will be a gauge of whether Didier Deschamps’s highly touted, star-studded squad can handle a humid summer night in Boston.
Today’s match: France vs. Morocco (4:00 PM EDT)
Latest results: According to FotMob, both sides have announced their lineups. Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise continue to shine for France, while as previously noted, incoming Bayern winger Ismael Saibari remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Just for fun! Drop your predictions below. Today, we predict no surprises: France 3-1 Morocco, with another impressive display from Bayern’s Michael Olise. Go chase that Golden Ball, champ!
Beyond the 90: Europe versus South America comes back into focus after France–Paraguay.
