In the seventh, both teams plated two runs, with Syracuse’s two coming on Nick Morabito’s single. Worcester answered with a run in the ninth, and Syracuse couldn’t rally in the bottom half despite two singles.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (27-42/2-6) vs Chesapeake: Chesapeake 8, Binghamton 4. The final margin belied how dominant Chesapeake was early, jumping ahead 4-0 through four innings (three in the first, one in the second, two in the third, two in the fourth). Binghamton finally got on the board with a Nick Lorusso homer in the first and an RBI via a sacrifice fly in the third, but Chesapeake continued to pull away. JT Schwartz doubled and homered, driving in two, and Nick Lorusso finished 1-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Kevin Parada went 0-4 with a walk, while Jose Ramos had a 1-4 day with a walk and an error. Brendan Girton started for Binghamton and took the loss after 4.0 innings, allowing eight runs (eight earned) on six hits with three walks and a strikeout. Brian Metoyer added two scoreless innings in relief.
High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (25-40/7-4) vs Frederick: Brooklyn 13, Frederick 7. Brooklyn grabbed the lead in the second after a scoreless first, opening with an error on a throwing play and a Trace Willhoite RBI single. Frederick answered with a run in the bottom of the frame, but Brooklyn continued to pour it on, scoring in the fourth on a Yohairo Cuevas homer and erupting for five runs in the fifth. The rally helped Brooklyn pull away as they continued to add insurance runs late.
