Miami football goes for a 3-0 start for the fourth straight year in a Friday night tilt at a feisty Wake Forest team. While the Hurricanes have won eight straight in the matchup, the 2-0 Demon Deacons aren’t to be trifled with. For one, No. 5 Miami is down its two starting cornerbacks for the second straight game. O.J. Frederique and Xavier Lucas will be out for a while, so containing the No. 30 offense in the nation won’t be easy. Of course, the Canes counter with the No. 1 offense in yards (702.5 per game) and No. 2 in scoring (61). UM and Wake Forest both feature quarterbacks who transferred from Tobacco Road over the offseason. Former Duke QB Darian Mensah has instantly clicked with Malachi Toney and the Hurricanes, throwing for 653 yards and eight touchdowns with just four incompletions so far. Wake’s Gio Lopez came from North Carolina and earned ACC Quarterback of the Week honors after scoring three total touchdowns in last week’s double-overtime win at Purdue.Watch Miami vs Wake Forest live on Fubo (free trial)UM vs Wake Forest score7:30 p.m. | ESPNUM football vs Wake Forest live updates, analysisGet real-time updates, scoring plays, turning points and expert analysis throughout Miami’s game against Wake Forest.
