Tonight, Michigan State basketball will informally kick off a much-heralded season with an exhibition game against Incarnate Ward. While it’s not a serious injury, the Spartans will be missing a key player tonight, as it was reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that MSU power forward Cam Ward will miss tonight’s game as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle. It’s a bit of a disappointment, as the talented sophomore is in line for a big year with a great shot to seize control of the starting power forward position; however, with this just being an exhibition, it’s not the end of the world and will give players like Jesse McCulloch an opportunity to showcase their skills.Contact/Follow us @The SpartansWire on X, and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Michigan State news, notes, and opinion.
