Jul. 14—MILLVILLE — The AMA Pro Motocross national championship series makes its annual visit to Spring Creek MX Park near Millville this week.Approximately 20,000 fans are set to make Millville grow to 10 times its size on Saturday, with pro motos that begin at 12:15 p.m. (all motos will be broadcast on Peacock).AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe pro races are set for Saturday, but the track will be buzzing all week. Riders and campers began arriving on Tuesday, with amateur practice scheduled for Thursday, amateur races and pro Media Day set for Friday, and Round 7 of the 12-round Pro Motocross national championship series set for Saturday.The week’s events conclude Sunday with the annual Pro Track Challenge, a day when top amateur riders can race on the same track setup as the pros.Here are six things to know if you’re planning to head to Millville:Simple. One way in, one way out. From Rochester, take U.S. Highway 63 north to Zumbro Falls, turn right (east) onto Minnesota Highway 60 for 8.7 miles. From the north, take U.S. 52 to Zumbrota, turn left (east) on Highway 60 for 21 miles.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA limited number of Elite VIP Parking spaces are available — for sale online only — for $40, near the Will Call tent just outside the main gates. Day parking is available for free in the fields along Highway 60, to the north and west of the entrance to the grounds. Motorcycle parking is free and available adjacent to Gates A and B. As of Sunday evening, a limited number of VIP Super View tickets were still available for $260.95 each (must be accompanied by a general admission ticket). VIP Super View tickets include a catered meal, VIP parking, a souvenir program, and covered seating atop the hill overlooking the finish line. General admission ticket options are also available for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.They’re the best of the best, the top motocross riders in the world.Australian brothers Jett Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence sit 1-2 in the points standings atop the sport’s biggest class, the 450s.
