Thank you to the Brewers, players, coaches, staff. Wisconsin waited many years to celebrate a World Series championship. The win is just the “cherry on top.”This team of amazing young men brought Wisconsin fans something even better. They brought their own love of the game and joy of play, and it was contagious. It came at a time of darkness and division that brought all the fans together, sharing the same goal: to see their team win and the joy of experiencing that together. Mary Ciha, JacksonIt was collective ‘socialist’ action that saved Milwaukee BrewersWho remembers how close we came to losing the Milwaukee Brewers in 1995? Who remembers the brave Wisconsin state senator who cast the pivotal vote for funding the construction of a badly needed new Brewer stadium?George Petak’s deciding vote supported the 0.1% sales tax increase for the five counties surrounding the proposed stadium. As a result, his Racine County constituents collected signatures for a recall election which he later lost. Get to know the fans sitting around you. You will discover that pretty much each one has an intriguing baseball story to share with you.I have been attending baseball games in Milwaukee and around the country since 1953, when my late husband took me to my first professional game when I was a high school sophomore. The rest is history! The World Series victory in 2026 is the highlight of my baseball life, and not just because this is an incredibly talented team. It is because the people on this team are incredible human beings who care about each other and far beyond. This Milwaukee baseball season was the most joyous season in my almost 89 years. Long may you thrive, Brewers. And thank you for the incredible ride.Marlene Buechel, VeronaAttanasio and family brought joy to people of WisconsinI would like to express my gratitude to Mark Attanasio and his family’s ownership group for the joy he has brought to me, my family, friends and the entire state of Wisconsin.I know there may be difficult times ahead with potential lockout, but something is different now. Achieving our success as a “David vs Goliath story” made our journey even more spectacular than ever. Sweeter than anyone could have ever imagined. We did it as an underdog, not with a
