Prior to the summer, Mizzou’s 2027 recruiting class was looking a bit… thin. Two months later? A lot less so.
Since May 1, Eli Drinkwitz has added 9 new commitments to the high school class of ’27, gaining two more on Sunday in T’ari Miller and Jaylen Hill, a pair of three-stars with plenty of SEC interest. Apart from continuing the summer trend, their commitments were the 6th and 7th for the Mizzou staff in the month of June.
So where does that leave the Tigers in terms of the rankings? Still with some catching up to do. The Tigers rank 31st in the country by both On3 and 247’s class calculators, albeit with a slightly smaller class size at 16. There’s still plenty of time before National Signing Day, and the Tigers are playing for some big fish. But with the increased attention to the transfer portal in the last few cycles, it’ll be interesting to see how Drinkwitz and his staff prioritize the addition of high school talent. As for now, they’ll keep adding young guys they think they can mold into the foundation of the program. Transfers or not, that’s how successful programs are built.

Tiger Style has contributed several fighters to many mixed martial arts leagues across the United States, although the UFC has become the most popular under this umbrella. Mizzou has had former wrestlers involved in UFC fights since the first event aired on US cable television in 2002, through its most recent event, UFC Freedom 250.

You’ll recognize some of the names, hell probably all of them, on this list!

In which Mizzou fans firmly state: We don’t want Brendan Sorsby in our sport!

It doesn’t surprise me that the majority of answers were essentially, “Nah, f*** them,” but the fact that 13 percent of you would’ve been fine with teams suiting up against Sorsby? I’d love to hear your perspectives because I don’t get it. At all. Drop your thoughts in the comments, would love to chat.

In which Mizzou Softball has a new shortstop!

As a freshman, Want was voted the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and a spot on the CUSA First Team All-Conference after averaging .325 at the plate with 10 home runs and 37 RBI. As a sophomore in 2026, she batted over .300 once again and led the team with 27 RBI to earn a spot on the CUSA Second Team All-Conference. Her best offensive game last season came when she recorded three hits including two home runs and four RBI against Louisiana Tech.

Mizzou needed some thump in the lineup, and it sounds like they’re getting it!
