MLB Futures Game 2026: Open Game Thread

By admin — In News — July 12, 2026

Because MLB continues to struggle with marketing its product, today marks both the second and final day of the 2026 MLB Draft and the Futures Game. With the All-Star Game set to take place in Philadelphia this year, the first pitch is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. This timing matters little to fans, except that the Mariners have two of the game’s top pitching prospects on display: Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan. Anderson, who has been dominant for Arkansas this season at the Double-A level, has earned the role of starting pitcher for the American League prospect All-Stars. We’ll provide a full, detailed recap later on Sunday for those who are still waking up, but in the meantime here’s an open game thread to discuss the action as it unfolds.
How to watch:
Game time: 9:00 a.m. PT
Channel: NBC/Peacock
Note: This post is meant to be a live discussion thread, so keep comments focused on the game, the performances of Anderson and Sloan, and what their outings could mean for their careers and the Mariners’ future pitching depth.
